I'll start with Tuesday.. It was our anniversary. We are now married for 4 years. Its funny because it doesn't seem that long, but I guess time flies when you are having fun! We had a free 2 night stay up in Flagstaff, and decided to use it for our anniversary. We knew that we would be taking the new little one because my due date was so close to our anniversary date. Maxx and Jase stayed with their Mimi and Grandpa, while we were gone. We left thursday around 1pm. Once we got into town we ate and then met up with my cousin Devin. Over the past few years we lost contact with one another, but I am very happy to say that we have grown a lot closer. As kids we played all the time, he was my favorite cousin and one of my closest friends. Him and his girlfriend Cassie recently had a baby boy named Gavin. Gavin was born the day before Kade... she was overdue and I went really early. We were so excited to find out how close of a birthday these two cousins share. This is me and Devin holding our babies.
We had so much fun visiting with them that night. It sure makes me wish that me and Dev lived a whole lot closer so our boys could grow up playing together. After we visited them we headed to the church bldg. to play volleyball with Seth's sister Stormy. It was fun! Now I'm not bragging... but seriously my husband was the hottest guy there, and one of the best players. On friday we got up and took our time, went and ate brunch at IHOP then hung out for a few hours at Stormy's cute apartment. This is Stormy holding Kade.
After hanging out at Stormy's we went bowling. After four years, that was the first time I have ever bowled with Seth... pretty sad. It was fun though.. I did better than I thought. Guess which one got the highest score...
After bowling we went and ate at this awesome restaurant called Monsoon. It was yummy and I highly reccommend eating there if your passing through Flag. The next day we headed home to our boys ... went to Alli's birthday party at the park, then came home. Around 7 or so.. Kade started crying and wouldn't stop. And Kade is a really good baby.. who rarely cries. He would eat and was just upset. Around midnight, I started to get worried cause he still hadn't eaten and was still crying. I decided to take him to Goodnight Peds which is an urgent care for babies. When I got there they took his temperature and said he had a fever and told me to take him to the hospital, because they couldn't help us. So I headed home, got Seth and went to St. Joesph's hospital. We had Seth's mom come over and sleep at our house while the boys were sleeping. Once we got the hospital we realized they take a fever a lot more seriously for a 7 weeks old baby then we thought. They ran every test you could think of. This is Kade with his arm in a splint for his IV. They also started antibiotics on him right away.
They told us that we had to wait a full 48 hours for the test results to come back. They came back negative and said it was probaby a upper respiratory infection. So we got there Saturday night and was released today. I am so glad to be home and to have all of my boys healthy again.
