The OLD The NEW
So as baby #3 approaches, we were needing a new family vehicle. When me and Seth got married we both promised ourselves we would NEVER get a minivan. We both just really didn't think fondly of them. Well as we started the search for our family vehicle we started looking at SUV's. After we priced all the ones we were interested in, we realized it was out of the price range we wanted to pay. We decided to just take a look at minivans to see what they were like. Once we saw prices and what they had to offer, I think that set the deal. The only thing Seth really wanted was a family vehicle with four wheel drive, and of course minivans don't offer that. But he was okay with it. We started out looking at the Nissan Quest, because that one was my favorite. Then we test drove a Honda Odessey, and realized it drove way smoother than the Nissan and the price was a lot lower. So thats what we decided on getting..... we found one that was called Black Cherry, with tan leather inside and a DVD player. I loved it, but within a week or so they sold it! Then we asked ourselves why hadn't we checked out the Toyota Siennas? Well for one I don't like the way the body of the van looks, and so from the get go I always said no. But Seth dragged me out there and we test drove a couple. And it was just as nice as the Honda if not nicer.
The one we got is a 2006 Toyota Sienna in the color Slate (its not blue) its like a dark grey color. The interior is amazing and its nice to have so much space. We saved $8500 by getting this one over the Honda we liked. It was a great deal, and we love it.
I am now official a MOM! I'm going to miss my car when we sell it... I've had it since I was a senior in high school, and its held up alright for me. Except for the missing hubcaps, hanging mirror, missing visor, and excessive shaking... it was great!

What is up with the Blog-a-palluza? You go months with nothing and now you bury us with posts? When do the 3-D ultrasound pictures come?
As for the van, 3 kids is when we broke down and gave up the sedan as well. But, I'm sorry, the Sienna body style is just icky. they have gotten better but I can get that old 90's Sienna image out of my head! Congrats!
Getting rid of blue car was hard for me, too. The kids kept asking for it for a long time, until we told them it was blue car or Joshua. After our first trip, though, I absolutely love the minivan. Welcome to the club!
