Eat Sleep and Paint

So if you have talked to me recently you would know that I am reduing my entire kitchen and living room. The kitchen we finished last night..... FINALLY! I have been doing it all by myself for the last week, during nap times and once the boys went to bed. I put the tears on last night, and Seth decided to help. What a nice guy. So we are done with the kitchen and now working on the living room. The people who lived here before us sucked at painted. There is paint all over the ceiling and baseboards. Seth is going to have to calk everything!! Some of you haven't been in my house yet, and let me tell you the people who lived here before... painted every wall a different color and every room different. The kitchen was this ugly kahki green color, and the living room is yellow and kahki. Yuck! I have hated it ever since I moved in here. Its funny how most people want to paint their homes with color... and we are so excited about painting it a plain color. :) Halloween is creeping up on us. Maxx is going to be an elephant and Jase a monkey. Hopefully I can get some pictures of them tonight at the Gila Bend Ward party while they are dressed up. Its going to be hard getting Maxx to keep his ears on! But they will look really cute. Me and Seth haven't decided whether we are going to dress up, and if we do what are we going to be???? The little safari family??? Who knows?!

I feel your pain. Our previous home owners didn't know how to paint either. Their problem was the other end of the extreme though. Instead of being sloppy on the trim, they just decided to leave a gap of unpainted wall around the trim and never came back to finish... As for our kids, they are: Caleb - Darth Vader, Michaela - One of Barbie's 12 Dancing Princesses, Joshua - Gingerbread Man (Ginngy from Shrek), and Anneliese - Butterfly. We definately have no theme whatsoever!

Now honey, the theme is Whatever Is Easiest For The Mama. Great theme, feel free to steal it, Tara. I don't mind the colour downstairs (it's a pale yellow), but I've discovered it doesn't play well with kids and I want to paint it a dark beige (like our house in NM).
